So many of you have taken the time to say “thank you” to us for creating eebee’s adventures. As I start this blog, I must admit, that saying “thank you” back is the very first thing that comes to mind. Thanks for letting us know that you and your baby are enjoying the adventures. Thanks for telling us about the learning games and activities you now engage in that were inspired by eebee. Thanks for sharing all of the great pictures from your “happeebee birthday parties.

Despite the fact that we do not yet have eebee party supplies, thanks for making your own decorations, too! (On this note, we’ll shortly be adding a section to the website that will include some eebee photos, invitation and thank you printables, and other ideas for eebee-themed birthday parties.)

“Whenever my baby melts down, I just sing the eebee song and he starts to laugh;” “As a mother of five, I thought I knew it all. I actually got some new ideas from eebee;” and “Our daughter didn’t start stacking blocks until after seeing the building adventure.”

Thanks, too, for your help in spreading the “word of Mom” (and dad and grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.) about the programs, our approach, and what you and your baby are learning. I can’t begin to tell you just how important your simply telling others has been in helping us to continue our “adventure.” Here’s a quick update: We are currently working on a series of baby adventure books that are due out later this year and just came out of the studio where we taped a series of eebee’s adventures with Water and Music Play. We hope to post “sneak previews” later this summer.

Thank you to the new dad who wrote to us praising our playful approach and suggested that we

include some “clean-up” ideas in the next round of adventures. We did. Stay tuned. Good habits start early!!! (Thank you, again, to the 91 babies and their families who travelled from all over the country to help us create these next adventures.) And for all of you who have been asking about when eebee will be in retails stores, the DVDs just launched at Barnes & Noble nationwide as well as at select Babies R Us stores around the US. So, thanks for your enthusiasm which in turn led to these exciting retail opportunities.

Just a couple of years ago, Don Burton, my co-creator on eebee, and I started with a simple idea that grown-ups and babies actually enjoy playing with one another and can both learn from the experience. Our goal was not to produce a TV show, but to create a catalyst for real-world play that was rich, interesting and engaging for parent and child. Together with you, we’ve actually created a truly interactive play partnership, one in which we can let one another know what we think, what’s interesting, what’s fun, what’s important. So welcome to eebee’s blog where we’ll play with some ideas.
