Eebees Adventures

The thing my babies most liked to play with when they were actually babies were those squishy, fuzzy soft-covered activity books. Now they're called "interactive" books. A few years ago they weren't called anything quite as grand but they were just as fun. Which brings me to Eebees.

all about me

The Every Baby Company has a line of books, toys and DVDs called Eebees Adventures.

I took a look at a small sampling of the activity books. There's a Peek-a-boo version, Laundry Time, Have a Ball, and a board book with a mirror titled All About Me (how appropriate is that for a baby). Hard to tell if Eebee is a boy or a girl. I'm guessing that's on purpose. Still whatever "it" is, it's cute with a wide smile, two googly eyes and multi-colored hair sticking out every which way. A little like a cross between a baby and a muppet.

The books are listed as appropriate for ages 9-36 months. But I think you'll find the 36 months is pushing it a little. No matter, your kids will get plenty of use out of them in the early months.

The All About Me book is filled with little games to play with different baby body parts - like tummies and toes. The other activity books are brightly colored and full of games using lots of different textures, shapes and even sounds to keep babies interested. They're also sturdy and believe me these things can take a beating.

The soft activity books retail for about $15.00.
