Review of Product: eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not.

My kids love educational DVD’s and boy are eebee’s Adventures cute! My littlest guy sits and watches so quietly so he doesn’t miss a thing. In Exploring Real Stuff eebee and the babies explore everyday items that children can relate to and finding out what they feel like, how they move and if they make sound. Every baby loves to explore their surroundings and try to figure stuff out. In all of eebee’s Adventures he takes the kids on fun adventures to help them learn all kinds of new things! The music is so catchy and it makes Damie bounce with excitement. My son’s favorite was All in a Day’s Play. He loves to make his own music and seeing others do the same really entertains him. eebee is just a lovable character that any baby and mommy will enjoy watching and learning with!

Sophie and Momma: Eebee’s Adventures DVDs

sophie-and-momma

I cannot tell you about how Eebee’s Adventures without telling you a little bit about life before watching Eebee’s Adventures!

My Dilemma: How do I Interact with my child?

The pressure of learning ABCs and 123s got me trying to cram it down her 10 month old brain. We bought building blocks for her to play with. Here I was as a first time mom sitting down on the floor trying to show her the alphabet and the numbers on the blocks. I was trying to “play” with her and show her these things! My heart was thinking:

I do not want her to be the only one who does not know the alphabet or know her numbers! So we best start early!

After ten minutes of failing, I succumbed to having her throw around the blocks. I even stacked up the blocks to show her how to “build”. My focus was on trying to have her “Build” and was not even catching on to the fact that she was experiencing a different level of Playing and Learning that I did not even notice or understand.

By far the only time I really had her attention was when I was reading a certain book that contained things to touch, and for me—animals to breath life into. What I mean is she was able to touch and feel different textures and I was able to “Moo” and “Quack” and “Pock Pock Pock—Cock a Doodle Doo”. She gravitated to this book and we had hours of fun. To her this was her play and learning time. She interacted and all was great. But one can sit down and read a book for so long before both of you gets tired of quacking and mooing. Little did I know that “touching” and “sounds” were a gateway to her learning!

  • My dilemma was How do I interact with my child?

She gets bored with toys and throws them around and does not exactly play with them. I simply did not know what she was capable of doing. Or how to go about “playing” with her. We’d do a couple of things here and there, but in reality I was at a loss. I had some experience babysitting, but as far as something on a daily basis? I was at a loss!

  • Another question I had was “What can I expect from my little one?”

Of course I play with her, but sometimes even it’s like I am reaching to the edges of my brain to figure out “HOW” to incorporate learning into all the playing that is age appropiate? Playing with my daughter on a daily basis gets difficult for me. As a first time mom I run out of fresh ideas easily. I needed inspiration!

My Inspiration:

The answers came to me when I searched through Netflix to find a children’s show for her to watch while I did some of my own errands around the house. Eebee’s Adventures? Never heard of it, but it was worth a shot since some of the other children&rsquo’s shows never really got her attention and was not age appropriate for her.

One short episode was all it took for my daughter to be hooked. My daughter was encaptivated by all the different ways to make “music and sound”. To be honest the activities you do during the show gives any mom simple and fun ideas. And yes, I mean activities YOU as a parent will do during the show. I find it ever so hard NOT to participate along with my daughter! I run to the kitchen to grab pots and pans and lid and dish cloths so that we can play along.

We were super excited to be able to Review Three Dvds of Eebees Adventures!

All in a Day’s Play was Sophie’s favorite out of the three. I believe it is our favorite because it features playing with laundry and the kitchen pots and pans–we do this almost daily! There is never day without a basket full of laundry to whirl around and play peekaboo in. She also just gravitated towards the song, “It’s all in your hands”.

Shadow Puppets!

Figuring Things Out. Sophie gravitated towards the light switch and learned how to go through things. I made a couple of things to go with this DVD like these Shadow Puppets! You turn on a flashlight and your child can see a shadow in the shape of something. Either way she’s noticing her shadow now when we walk outside and her shadow appears on the ground. Also she has learned to “go through” things too! After watching this adventure with Eebee a couple of times, I found her playing in the tunnel one day! She went through the tunnel and stacked her toys in it. It’s our Cats’ tunnel that is attached to the scratching post. It’s big enough for her to go through without being stuck so I was okay with it for a day or two before moving it out of our play area.

Exploring Real Stuff was great too! We just bought a box of Cherrios for us to eat…and play around with. We have made it “rain” with cherrios and am working on picking up some off of the floor. I recommend getting a tub to do this activity! She has had a blast playing with paper as Eebee does in this episode! I think this episode has a lot of great ideas for us to do hands on with ordinary things that lie around the house. The only thing is it left quite a display on our floor having paper all over! It was fun watching her play with the paper!

Eebee’s Adventures taught me how to engage my daughter in active playing and learning. There was no pressure to learn and memorize ABCs or 123s. Together we discovered loud and soft sounds, light and dark, our hands, gravity and so much more. We focused on discovering the world and I learned that that that is what I need to expect from her–to be a little explorer.

One thing we did was Discover Sound as a result of Eebee’s Adventures DVDs:

One of our favorite activities that we did along with Eebee was discovering sounds. What makes a loud sound? How do I make a loud sound? I pulled out our pots and pans and ladles and started making “loud” music. Put a dish towel on top and the sound was “Soft and Quiet”. I loved it! Loved it so much because she was learning about soft and loud sounds. No pressure too!

Here’s another fun activity involving sound discovered by my daughter: Eebee was playing with shakers and shaking them to make a “Chhh…Chh… Chhh…” sound. We had our Building blocks scattered on the floor. Sophie held a block in each hand and struck them together. It did not make the “Chh” sound it made a “Tap! Tap! Tap!” sound. She came up to me with delight! Tap Tapping those blocks together. I took blocks in my hand and said the words “Tap! Tap! Tap!”. She was so excited I wished I could have had a video camera recording this! She discovered this not me. Silly me thought these were Building ABC Blocks. These are definitely “Tap-Tapping Sound Blocks”.

Tap Tap Tap!

Eebee’s Adventures encourages Conceptual Learning:

A light bulb switched in my brain, “Babies learn by doing and experiencing”.

They are creative discoverers of the world. I have to say that it takes a child’s viewpoint to see that pots and pans as musical instruments. It is the every day, ordinary, little things that my daughter does that encourage me to capture that moment and make it into a learning experience.

For example she gets into an outdated newspaper. She does this a lot. I usually say “No” but this time I remember something from watching Eebees DVD and allow her to play with it under my supervision. Crinkle crinkle Rrriiippp!! Do you hear that Sophie? Again she plays around with it. Crinkle crinkle Rrriiippp!! What’s that sound? She rips it into tiny pieces but that’s okay. Let’s count how many pieces you got! Wow you made TWO pieces of paper!

Conclusion and Two Video clips:

Alright so you know I am such a big fan of Eebees Adventures. I love that the DVDs really inspire me in ways I can play with my daughter. Eebees Adventures is just rich and stock full of good things for your child. It is interactive and engaging. She loves the music and has learned a lot from watching Eebee. For me as a parent I find it an invaluable tool for learning how to play with my daughter and a rich source for project playtime ideas for my child.

I know that it does take some time getting used to Eebee Baby. It is very different because Eebee is a baby too! He coos and talks like a baby and has an eye catching colorful hair do. I know my 16 year old sister in law does think Eebee is weird, but that’s just because she has not yet had a baby! I think her whole outlook will change once she gets kids of her own! I am pretty sure that she will be asking to borrow these Dvds when she starts having kids.

Eebees Adventures is something I recommend for any household with little babies. I recommend this especially for first time parents too!

*********************

By watching Eebee she has learned how to Peek a boo! I was video taping this for you all and she did it! 🙂 I apologize in advance for the dark video I hope you can see it! Also the off key singing–I get into it at times….

This is her favorite Song from “All in a Day’s Play” DVD. So thankful that in the DVD bonus section there is a Music Category! I can easily access this song for her to clap to:

Jamie’s Precious Peas: Eebee ~ Educational & Fun Baby Toys and Activities

jamie's precious peas

I received the ShapeFits Eebee Doll from Eebee’s Adventures. I gave it this weekend to my newest nephew that was born this summer. He loved it! He immediately started chewing on one of the shapes. This is a great toy that will definitely grow with him. I really like the functionality and how it will work his motor skills.

I was first introduced to Eebee’s Adventures at a MOPS convention a couple years ago. I previewed their video and was hooked!

“eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not.

Watching and, importantly, “doing” eebee’s adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, bop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps.”

Clap Your Hands for Eebee’s New Adventures in Music & Sound Baby DVD

Eebee's Adventures Music & Sounds Educational DVDCatchy tunes, colorful sets, familiar props, and lots and lots of babies.  That’s the easiest way to sum up the newEebees Adventures Music & Soundbaby DVD, and it’s the perfect recipe to engage, entertain and, dare I say educate babies and toddlers about the wonders of sound and music.

The star of the baby video is Eebee, a puppet who looks like he walked off the set of Sesame Street, but it’s the babies who steal the spotlight.  It’s like having a fun playdate without having to leave your house, and there are all sorts of babies for your little one to learn from–young babies and older babies, babbling babies and toddlers using real words, and babies from all sorts of cultural backgrounds.

That diversity alone is a good reason to buy the DVD, but the interaction between the children and everyday objects like plastic bowls and spoons and sneakers with Velcro straps to make noise is also fun to watch.  My 22 month-old was clapping, banging and tapping right along with the children on the program, and after watching it she continued to make noise with other objects around the house.

The DVD is a good reminder that it doesn’t take much to amuse my daughter, and more importantly how easy it is to turn the most mundane thing into a fun learning experience.

Real adventures from a mom of 3.: Eebee’s adventures DVD Review

real adventures from a mom of 3

eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not.

Watching and, importantly, “doing” eebee’s adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, bop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps.

We know that when your child is playing, she is actively trying to figure things out about objects and people—why did that ball roll and the block slide? How did he do that? Why did that happen?… The questions, theories and solutions just continue to evolve as your child develops and masters a myriad of critical physical, social and intellectual skills—playing and learning about how the world works and he works in it.

Every parent can recount a time when their infant headed straight for that curtain to give it a pull; or happily opted to tear the wrapping paper rather then engage with the gift; or tried and tried to get the round peg into the square hole; or simply offered you whatever was in their hand.

Eebee’s Music and Sound

SING THE WORLD

Everybody and anybody can make up a song. And every baby loves it when they do. In this musical adventure, eebee and friends express the love and language in any moment with creative singing and silly sound-making activities and learn that you can sing and learn about everything.

KITCHEN BAND

Tap, dance, and swing along as eebee and babies create their own kitchen band. Spoons, pots, bowls, containers and corrugated cardboard lead to listen-and-laugh, compare-and-create musical games for building social and motor skills.

ALL AROUND SOUNDS

eebee and playmates explore the symphony of sounds that are all around and playfully explore language. From a ticking clock and ringing phone to “bangling” bracelets and home-made shaker instruments, this is a listen-and-play adventure.

My kids seemed to really enjoy this DVD Z was semi entertained by it, and at 2 that is hard to do with anything that doesn’t involve playing outside. I love the fact that Eebee is Something new, We never got into the baby movies when the kids were younger, but for some reason or another My kids even as babies loved things like the Wiggles, and my son will ask for the wiggles, or Mickey normally, but not be brings me the Eebee’s Adventures Music and sound movie case, and say ” Mommy me watch peas?”. How can I resist. Even my 4 year old watches it. I though maybe she would be bored with it but not at all.

The eebee doll is beyond adorable.  With color coded arms and legs and a crazy head of ‘hair’ how could you not want to play with it?  The doll is so soft and the 4 shapes that come with the SHAPE FITS doll are a perfect size to curl around my wrist or the baby’s ankle.  My daughter loved playing with the eebee doll itself, but once I put the shapes on my own wrists her mission was so pull them off!  My favorite part was putting the shapes on her and watching her figure them out and get them off.  I can see how the SHAPE FITS eebee will be a great learning tool for colors and shapes, and even social interaction.   This is definitely a doll that will be able to grow with Baby, much like the rest of the eebee product line.  And I absolutely love the company’s concepts of learning through play and interacting with not only parents and the toys, but the DVDs, too.

Eebee’s Adventures : Family and Life in Las Vegas

Eebee!  Eebee!  Eebee! Eebee!

It was until this October at the ABC Kids Expo that Squish and I were introduced to Eebee’s Adventures.  And I really feel like we were missing out!

Eebee’s Adventures is a super fun.  Their basic philosophy is Every Baby Learns By Doing.  I love that, and honestly couldn’t agree more.

Eebee Baby Dvds takes baby through real life and practical applications of everyday experiences.  Crinkle, Bang, Roll, Shake, Squish, these are the cause and effect playtime activities your child will engage in while watching Eebee and friends.

What I love most about these Dvds is they are so simple, and yet so educational at the same time.  Not educational in the “memorize these letters” type of way, but education through learning.  Each time we watch one of Eebee’s Adventures, Squish and I like to re-create what we are seeing on the TV.

"Giveaway" "Family and Life in Las Vegas" "Toddler Play" "Toddler Dvd"

We got review three Dvds – all three of which we have a blast watching (Squish pays attention a lot longer when these Dvds are on).  Each Dvd takes your child through a series of practical, real-life, hands on games.  From rolling a ball, to making music with spoons, Eebee Baby adventures takes everyday plan and turns it into learning.  But they do so in a fun way that keeps babies and toddlers engaged and learning.  Unlike some kids dvds that seem to talk at your baby, Eebee talks to and with your baby.

I tend to pull these videos out on days when we weren’t able to get out of the house.  It breaks up the day and I feel like each time he does watch one of the videos he sees something new.  It was very easy to recreate the situations in the video and make it a real interactive learning experience!

eebee’s Adventures Book Review

3boys-lady-header

I believe one of the best gifts you can give a child is the gift of reading.  Each year I make sure our children receive a book or two and have donated some of our kids’ gently used books to local charities.  I have reviewed eebee products before and was glad to receive the opportunity to review eebee’s Adventures books for Sterling Publishers.

I received copies of eebee’s Adventures All About Me and eebee’s Adventures Make It Happen.  Both books are 7.5″ x 7.5″ board books just perfect for lil’ hands eager to turn the pages when you read.

The brightly colored books would make a wonderful addition to your child’s first library.  I shared the copy of eebee’s Adventures All About Me with the newest addition to our family.  He’s just learning to smile and the mirrored last page kept him smiling and everyone else entertained watching his expression.

eebee’s Adventure books retail for about $6.95 and are available online or at many major online bookstores.

In this hands-on adventure, eebee and playmates celebrate the fact that every baby learns through play and interaction. On each page, curious toddlers join eebee to Make It Happen by exploring big ideas and concepts, including up and down through a game of baby bowling; one, more, and many by playfully ripping a piece of paper to create bright confetti; on and off with a flashlight; wet and dry with a rubber duckie and a towel; and open and closed with this very book.

It’s a book…and a game, too! All About Me and You is an adventure all about eebee’s—and every baby’s—body. Each page features a specially designed interactive board game: just unfold the book-sized mirror and baby can “look and play” along with eebee, making funny faces, throwing kisses, waving and clapping, and wriggling fingers.  For extra fun, grown-ups can come up with their own ideas, too, based on their child’s interests and personality.  Best of all, these entertaining activities exercise baby’s social, motor, language, and thinking skills!

eebee DVD’s….a Perfect Gift for Your Toddler | The IE Mommy

The DVD eebees adventures “Figuring Things Out” was a great experience for my 18 month old daughter to watch. During the “on the move” segment my daughter stood up and started to interact with finding the ball on the screen. My daughter was able to take part though-out the whole DVD because of the creative segments and colorful environment provided. During the segment “moving head and body” my daughter started to climb
and push her toys around. It was so cute to see my daughter have fun while learning, discovering her surroundings and her body movements.

The music was easy for an adult to listen to as well as for my 18 month old. The voice of the woman interacting with the Muppet was easy to listen to and encouraging for a mother to mimic the same fun and soft interactive qualities with their children. I know I got on my hands and knees acting excited about things I normally would not get to excited about. It was a great Mommy and me time with my daughter.

The Children in the DVD were very effective with grabbing my daughter’s attention. As soon as she saw a little child playing she would stop and focus on the screen. She loves seeing other children play. I also enjoyed the short segments; it helped with my daughter’s short attention span.

I would recommend this DVD to children under the age of 2 years old. I would also recommend this DVD as a great calm down DVD before a nap or Bed time. This DVD was very soothing and calming. It is also a great interactive DVD to help children to focus and get involved without overwhelming the child. This is a great DVD for young children.

Eebee was a Christmas present for my just turned two year old, beloved grandson, Julian Rutolo Dietrich Cannon. Eebee looked almost tenderly tucked into his box, when he arrived. I had removed the plastic bag he’d been further enclosed in; layering colored tissue paper in, and around Eebee until he looked just like he was nestled inside his own little bed.

Eebee himself, looks very real. In fact, he looks so much like his real t.v. self, one expects him to talk with his wide opened mouth. Actually, the wideness of that opened mouth was the only thing i didn’t care for so much. But, that’s a design thing. Nothing to do with quality. And everything about Eebee speaks to quality.

Favorite thing about the Eebee doll: the yellow knit pants he wears. They look homemade, and absolutely really like the one’s Eebee wears on t.v. every day and night. In fact Eebee is so lovingly made, I immediately decided to make every effort to keep him clean and loved and special. He looks like something one might like to save for future generations.

Eebee’s new human, baby brother, Julian, now shares his crib with him at night, and wants him downstairs close by, during the day.

Eebee, and the Eebee show, is a calm, nurturing, gentle show reminiscent of Mr. Rodgers. It quickly became one of Julian’s favorite shows. However finding the Eebee figurine wasn’t so easy at first. My family couldn’t find him in the stores and malls. However when I went online, I found him in no time.

All in all, I’d say Eebee’s a worthwhile present/product. He’s well made and reasonably priced. Plus, he arrived quickly, despite any Christmas rush.

The only thing missing is something that can’t possibly be included: that would be, Eebee’s pretend, T.V. Mommy.

In my humble opinion: I heartily recommend both the show and the doll, to parents at home.

Mother of 1 Princess and 2 Princes: HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE EEBEE’S DVD’S REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

mother of 1 princess and 2 princes

Inspired by every baby and informed by the lastest research on how babies learn and grow, eebee’sadventures products are designed to help you and your baby transform everyday play into learning that lasts.

eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letter, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not.

Watching and, importantly, “doing” eebee’s adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, pop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps.

eebee’s Exploring Real Stuff DVD – This DVD teaches children to feel the texture of different things. The children in the video play with Cheerios and Rice and learn to fill bowls up and to dump them out. They learn about the many things that can be done with paper, such as ripping. This DVD teaches children to experiment in order to learn what can be done with different objects. This is the perfect DVD to teach your young child to explore and make sure they have fun while learning. We love this video it’s so intelligent because it’s based on real play between parents and children. We now have a big container of cheerios to play inside on the living room floor. Iv’e actually seen my kids progress in their skills by doing the eebee activities in the video.

eebee’s All in a Day’s Play DVD – Is the “event” oriented DVD that celebrates those simple moments of the day where baby plays and baby learns! Kids can watch eebee playing in and around the laundry basket, making music with pots and pans, and more! This video is great for real play with your baby not just staring at images. We can use the play ideas without the video too. It’s not about learning numbers or letters but about how your baby can learn things by experiencing them – with you. I think it’s very intelligent.
eebee’s Figuring Things Out! DVD – This DVD was filled with fun things to do with your toddler. In the beginning there are piles of pillows on the floor and the lady hides the ball in different places around the pillows and asks Eebee to find the ball. This not only teaches a child how to look for different objects but also teaches coordination when moving things around. This video also teaches childre how to turn lights on and off, including flashlights. One of my favorite parts was when they focused on shadows. This is an adorable way to enrich your child’s mind and the best part is, your child can use these skills in everyday life for the rest of his/her life.
* Give your child toys or items similar to the ones shown in the videos so they can play along with eebee.
*Set up similar games and situations to play with your baby or toddler.
*Sing the catchy ”eebee’s” theme song to your baby. It will be stuck in your head anyway, and it will help your baby learn babbling sounds.
*Let your older children watch “eebee’s adventures” and you might be surprised to see them modeling the idea in the video when playing with the baby.
Visit eebee’s to learn more about the videos and to see all their eebee’s products like toys, books, clothing, music and gifts.
The videos are $14.95 each. I would recommend these videos to moms with babies 6 months and up!

When I was younger, I loved reading. I loved it so much that I would have rather stay inside and read than go outside and play with the neighborhood kids. I think that reading is a great way to not only expand ones vocabulary and grammar but also a great way to spend time with your little ones which is why I think you should check out Eebee’s Adventures books.

Eebee’s Adventures are a series of books featuring a puppet character the size of a 1-year-old named Eebee. The books are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply cannot do.

I received a copy of Here to There: An Up, Down, and All-Around Adventure and All About Me and You: Head-to-toe Adventures for your baby.

Here to There: An Up, Down and All-Around Adventure is the ideal book for the intrepid and adventurous toddler. The book features up, down and all around adventure activities for active toddlers who are discovering stairs, slides and anywhere and everywhere hide and seek games. Here to There provides parents with exciting and entertaining ideas to help develop motor skills and independence and features adorable babies and eebee. Here to There is for ages 6 months and up.

All About Me and You: Head-to-toe Adventures is about eebee’s body and your baby’s body, too. Each page is an interactive board game, designed especially for babies. Fold-out the book-sized mirror to ‘look and play’ along with eebee. Start anywhere. . . go anywhere! Look in the mirror! Invent your own playful games! Exercise your baby’s social, motor, language, and thinking skills, and explore baby’s body from head to toe!

The books are completely hardcover so there is no need to worry about the little one messing up the pages. The books use simple words and phrases that a young baby or child can understand like “what a funny face,” “give eebee a kiss,” “under the blanket,” and “on the blanket.” They also feature colorful and bright illustrations and pictures so that your young reader has a visual of what Eebee wants him or her to do; by pairing a visual with written description, young readers are more likely to understand the concept being presented in front of them. By reading books like eebee’s adventures to your toddler they will

  • Take initiative and act on their natural curiosity
  • Make clear choices among different materials and experiences
  • Vary their strategies and try different approaches
  • Persist at a goal and stick to a task
  • Share their discoveries and seek social interaction

I absolutely adore these books and know that my two year old cousin, Zoey, will as well. Even though, she is an older toddler she is still young enough to find fun in the simple concepts that eebee presents in his adventures. It also will help her to make a better connection between what she sees in the book and her actions in real life. Research is clear that the best way for babies and toddlers to grow and strengthen their skills is to play and that is exactly what eebee offers! Eebee is featured in a variety of book adventures as well as on DVD, toys, music and clothing. You can find eebee adventure books at book stores like Barnes & Noble nationwide and on the eebee website. Baby Brandon’s Adventures: Eebee’s Adventures Children’s Book Review & Giveaway

baby brandon

Brandon still loves books and his book collection on his bookshelf continues to grow. I received the opportunity to review the following Eebee’s Adventures Books from Sterling Publishing:

* Eebee’s Adventures All About Me and You
* Eebee’s Adventures Make It Happen

Who is Eebee? He’s a cute and colorful character who entertains and educates babies and children through books, toys, and DVDs. Brandon likes the bright, colorful pictures and it keeps him interested. He learned pretty quick and already started to tell me the stories through pictures and what he sees in the pictures. I think the books help him expand his imagination and this is really great. I hope to purchase the DVD collection for Brandon this Christmas. I’m sure he’ll enjoy them.

Eebee’s Adventures All About Me and You!: Head-to-Toe Adventures for Your Baby. Start Anywhere. Go Anywhere!

Eebee’s Adventures Make It Happen: A Hands-on Adventure with Opposites (Every Baby Eebee’s Adventures)

We are part of the famileebee, are you? Book review

We love eebee!
Ever since we met eebee a year ago, he has been a key part in our lives!
Now, we are adding to the eebee products that we have, because we now have eebee books!

Of course, Broxton LOVES eebee and now he is constantly bringing the eebee books for me to read to him. How can I tell him no when it is reading he wants to do? So here we go, reading eebee again and again!!!!

I really love the eebee’s adventures – here to there book. We go to Gymboree and they are teaching up / down and so on… so it is great that he can learn it and Gymboree and then we keep going over it more, with eebee to help!
It also deals with other opposites such as off/on and wet/dry. We discuss opposites all the time, but I think he likes seeing eebee help teach it to him too!

The other eebee book that we were able to review is the eebees adventures – all about me book. Now this one is super cute!!! It even has a fold out mirror so that your little one can see themselves in it!
Eebee teaches them about their eyes/ears/nose and toes!!!
Granted, Broxton already knows all of this, but it is cute watching him kiss eebee and show me where everything is!This would be perfect for a younger child, but we love eebee so this just adds to our collection!

I still need to get the eebee doll! We have the puppet, but I really want the doll!!! Mayeebee for Christmas? Who knows?

There are several books in the eebee adventures collection, head on over and grab a few today!

Reviewed By Mom: Eebee Books Review & Giveaway…

reviewed by mom

Remember last week when I told you about an upcoming review I would be doing for Eebee books?  Well, here it is and I couldn’t be happier to share these adorable books with you all!  Eebee books are fun and educational interactive books put out for babies up to age three.  Right up Baby R’s alley!

The Eebee books I received to review are Peek-a-Boo, Make It Happen, All About Me and You and Here to There.  The basic philosophy for the Eebee Adventure books is the same…Every Baby Learns by Doing.

Don’t you just love that? Every baby learns by doing…fantastic and SO true.  We can all have our babies parrot the alphabet but they truly are learning more by playing and experiencing.   What a great message and a super philosophy.  Kind of takes the pressure off doesn’t it?  Play with your baby….no problem!

The Eebee books I mentioned are all board books except for Peek-A-Boo which is of cloth.  This is important because if your young children are like mine, paper is an actual food group!   Board and cloth books are the only things that will survive Baby R’s voracious appetite for paper.

Now, back to the Every baby learns by doing concept.  Each Eebee book is interactive.  For instance, Baby R an I just read Peek-A-Boo.  This one is a textured lift the flap that instructs baby to find Eebee who is hiding behind a scarf, hat, rain coat etc…So, while you are reading to your baby you are also playing peek-a-boo AND teaching your child about cause and effect.  In Make it Happen, Eebee and some toddler friends show baby opposites like round and flat and off and on.  Baby R’s favorite is open and close which shows an image of Eebee and a child opening and closing a book which Baby R then likes to copy.

I really like the Eebee series but more importantly, Baby R really, really likes it.  I think she likes being involved in the story, the bright pictures which include actual children as well as the adorable Eebee.  The words and concepts are simple enough for young ones to understand but interesting enough for them to keep coming back for more.  I would highly recommend any of the Eebee books for any child three and under.  Big thumbs up from me as well as two little thumbs up from Baby R!

Momma Drama: eebee’s Peek-A-Boo Adventures – Book Review

momma drama

Eebee is a popular character in our house. We have all the DVD’s and spend a lot of time interacting with eebee. Eebee has been designed to promote natural play. They help to show how you can use things around the house to interact with your child while promoting development. You can check out this great article to learn more about eebee and the purpose behind this colorful puppet!

When Sterling Publishing gave me the opportunity to review one of the eebee books I was so excited! I love this puppet on the DVD’s, so I was interested to see how they carried the fun over to books. I received eebee’s Peek-A-Boo Adventures, which is a cloth activity book geared towards children between 9 and 36 months.

The book is full of fun peek-a-boo activities where your little one can find eebee hiding in everyday situations, such as under a big sun hat or behind some blocks. Every page is an interactive experience that involves bright colors, different textures and things to lift or move. It’s a fabulous interactive learning experience!

I enjoy looking at this book with my daughter, but she also loves to play with it independently. She loves to sit and lift flaps and get excited when she finds something hiding. It’s a great book!

#Eebee’s Adventures – Figuring Things Out#

My nephew, Damien, and I watched Eebee’s Adventures – Figuring Things Out a couple hours ago and he enjoyed this one even more than the last one we watched. This DVD was filled with fun things to do with your toddler. In the beginning there are piles of pillows on the floor and the lady hides the ball in different places around the pillows and asks Eebee to find the ball. This not only teaches a child how to look for different objects but also teaches coordination when moving things around. This video also teaches children how to turn lights on and off, including flashlights. One of my favorite parts was when they focused on shadows. I can remember being a child and being fascinated with making shadow puppets. Damien’s favorite part was when they taught how to make things taller. On the TV, they were stacking up blocks but at the same time Damien was stacking up legos. This is an adorable way to enrich your child’s mind and the best part is, your child can use these skills in everyday life for the rest of his/her life. I highly recommend Eebee’s Adventure’s.

Hey, Baby, Who’s the Puppet?

Eebee Takes On a Lucrative but Controversial Market: Videos for the Diaper Set

By ANJALI ATHAVALEY

Eebee, star of the home-DVD series “Eebee’s Adventures,” doesn’t sing, dance or say much on screen. And that’s what his creators hope will make him a rock star with their target viewers—babies younger than 2 and their parents.

A full-body puppet the size of a 1-year-old, with spiky hair and an easy-to-pronounce name, Eebee laughs and makes baby sounds on screen. He (the character is officially gender-neutral) also plays with Cheerios, rolls a ball, takes laundry out of a basket and interacts with real-life babies and their moms and dads.

Eebee marks one of the most ambitious approaches in years to the potentially lucrative but controversy-studded market of home videos for babies. The creators, New York-based Every Baby Company LLC (for which Eebee is named), want parents to watch the 10- to 15-minute episodes with their babies and imitate the activities they see. Parents need advice on how to interact with their child, says co-founder Stephen Gass, whose career includes stints as head of product development for Viacom‘s new media group and president of the online division at Sesame Workshop, the maker of “Sesame Street.” “Most parents are going to deplete their peekaboo repertoire pretty quickly,” Mr. Gass says. “What do you do then? Our goal was to be a catalyst for real-world play.”

Many parents monitor and limit their children’s “screen time,” though, and pediatricians frown upon any video-watching by babies. The American Academy of Pediatrics currently discourages television-viewing by children under 2 (the policy is under review). “The evidence is not there to support that [videos] are developmentally appropriate or educational for this age group,” says Ari Brown, a pediatrician in Austin, Texas, and a member of the academy’s communications and media council. Studies comparing how young children learn from a parent versus video find “a video deficit,” she adds. “Children will always learn better from the live presentation.”

In recent years, critics such as the Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, a Boston nonprofit that aims to restrict corporate marketing to children, have taken on the baby-video sector, including the popular Baby Einstein series, whose videos feature music, sounds and animal hand puppets. Activists complained to regulators about the series’ implied educational benefits and the potential harms of video-viewing by the very young. Regulators didn’t take action. Last year, parent company Walt Disney Co. offered refunds to Baby Einstein DVD customers, saying it did so under a long-standing customer-satisfaction guarantee. It continues to sell Baby Einstein videos and toys.

Even so, Every Baby is venturing ahead with a video series it says has a positive influence on parent-child playtime. Content does matter in children’s video, Eebee’s makers say, and video watched by babies and parents together can have a far more beneficial effect than video used as an electronic babysitter.

U.S. sales of DVDs and Blu-ray discs for kids declined 3% to $400 million in 2009, excluding full-length feature films, and they are expected to shrink further as alternatives such as on-demand TV and videogames proliferate, according to Screen Digest, a London media analysis company. Still, sales of kids’ video have been more stable than the rest of the DVD market. The “electronic babysitter phenomenon is really convenient,” says Jan Saxton, senior film analyst. “We think it’s going to be one of the categories that has a long life in packaged video.”

Every Baby has recently increased retail distribution, with Eebee DVDs, dolls and books currently sold at Nordstrom stores, Barnes & Noble and some 500 toy stores. The company wants to double sales in 2010 to $2 million.

Two more DVDs are in the works, and Every Baby has extended the Eebee brand to books and toys, including a plush doll and, for 2011, “baby adventure kits” designed to help with sand play and other parent-child activities. Two Eebee smart-phone applications are in the works for next year.

To create Eebee, Mr. Gass worked with Don Burton, a former head of business development at Disney’s educational publishing unit. The two observed young children at play at Mr. Burton’s A-Ha! Learning Center in New York, with “play labs” and “open-ended materials” such as water, light or shadows. “We got a much better idea of what material intrigued kids,” Mr. Burton says. The two derived much of Eebee’s actions from what they saw the real kids do.

Other marketers have tried similar approaches to video content for babies. In 2006, Sesame Workshop launched “Sesame Beginnings,” a home-video series featuring baby versions of Elmo and Cookie Monster at play with adult characters. The premise was “to model parent-child interaction,” says Rosemarie Truglio, Sesame Workshop vice president for education and research. After four releases, Sesame Workshop ended production of the series in 2007.

Whether experts like it or not, plenty of babies watch television. A 2007 University of Washington study found that by three months of age, some 40% of children watch TV or DVDs regularly. “There are a lot of videos out there, so we have almost gone beyond the question of whether they are good or bad, and onto how people are using them,” says Rachel Barr, associate professor of psychology at Georgetown University.

At a recent children’s book-signing in New York’s Central Park, 18-month-old Lucas Novembre-Barbosa had his photo taken with Eebee. Lucas loves the DVDs, says his mother, Cathy, 37, an assistant kindergarten teacher. “Ever since I’ve put it on, he’s been hooked,” Ms. Novembre-Barbosa says. She watches the videos with her son and has borrowed ideas, such as emptying cereal into plastic containers for him to play with. “I think they’re good in moderation,” she says.

Eebees Developmental Toys: Putting the ‘Ee’ back in Ee-maginative Play | Family & Parenting | FemaleNetwork.com

Check out these baby toys from the Every Baby Company. By Liana Smith-Bautista
There are tons of toy franchises nowadays—so many that it’s hard to choose between one or the other. But not all of these toys are just like the others. Some have used psychology and research in their designs to enhance learning for children. Others target specific skills to develop: hand-eye coordination, language, and so forth. So it’s a good idea to invest a little research into the toys you buy your kids.

Enter the Every Baby Company, with their eebee’s adventure toys, DVDs, and books. Eebee’s adventures include not only a DVD series featuring a cute and colorful character, but one specifically designed to appeal to infants and toddlers.

The goal, as Every Baby Company readily states, is to “reflect the latest developmental research, engage babies with new ideas through play about how the world works for babies and babies work in the world, and lastly enhance and encourage meaningful communication, and interaction between children and parents, caregivers, and play partners of all ages.”

Quite a big job for a little boy or girl’s toy. But Eebees are up to the task. Check out the slide show below to see some of the eebees items currently available from Rustan’s Department Stores in Makati, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and Alabang Town Center.

I was excited when I got the chance to review ebbee’s Dvds with my children. My baby girl is almost six months old and at just the right age to enjoy watching this interactive DVD. Even my youngest son that is almost three loves watching and playing along with eebee!

I love the simple and fun ways eebee’s adventures transforms everyday play into a learning experience for my children. They really do love to watch it! I snapped a picture of my little guy with his baby sister cuddled up watching eebee’s adventures…too cute!

The best thing is that eebee’s adventures really do capture and keep my baby’s attention (which isn’t always easy to accomplish.) They explore everyday situations from laundry time to play time in this DVD. I also love that they offer other DVD’s like Exploring real stuff and Figuring things out! I know these titles would be great to add to our collection as well. You can also get eebee’s adventures toys and books for your little ones. We have the eebee’s adventures Mix and Mash book and DVD too.My kids really love watching eebee explore in the kitchen and the book has all the recipes as well.

eebee’s adventures offers much more than DVDs. They also have a wonderful line of toys, books, clothing and music to keep your child entertained with eebee.
