Hello all you people in blog land. Hope you’re having a great week so far. The best way to teach children is by making it fun. Eebee’s Adventures has taken this knowledge and developed toys, books and DVD’s that focus not only on learning but making sure your child enjoys what he/she is learning. Rebeca from Flair Publications has asked me to review some Eebee DVD’s. I will be posting a review of the DVD’s as soon as I receive them. I’m extremely excited to have this opportunity and I hope you all watch the video and keep an eye out for my review.

Check out eebee’s website here.

I am always looking for DVDs and toys that can help in the ladybugs development, so she can be entertained, but also so that she can learn something at the same time.
There is a DVD series called Eebees adventures , and I have to say that both the ladybug and I love the little guy’s DVD’S . It is a fun way to learn and eebee is the perfect guide for this learning adventure.
I was very surprised that the ladybug sat down to watch the eebee’s DVD’S from the minute I put them on TV and she is a tough customer, she will not watch any shows, and it getting more difficult to find things that holds her attention, but that is one thing Eebee does! She will watch the whole DVD and will even try to mimic some of the thing eebee does.
I think that she identifies with eebee, since he is a little one himself. eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors, and shapes simply cannot do.
Watching and, importantly, “doing” Eebee’s adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, bop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps.
eebee’s adventures are:
ACTIVE
They focus on behaviors—what babies and toddlers can and want to do— while offering practical and playful insights and ideas for how and when parents can join the act.
Learning is an active process, requiring significantly more involvement than looking at pictures.
HUMAN
They recognize the critical role parents play in their child’s development as the first teacher, coach and play partner and feature grown-ups across the landscape of each of Eebee’s adventures.
Every child’s learning career requires people to shape it. Objects, in and of themselves, will not do the trick. Humor, warmth and love go a long way, too.
LANGUAGE-RICH
They support and enhance early language development and communication skills by integrating research-based techniques such as scaffolding, repetition, showing people when they speak in the context about which they are speaking.
By around the age of 12 months, babies understand—and respond to–vastly more language than they are able to produce. For them to learn it, they need to hear it and know to who/what it’s referring. While a picture is worth a thousand words, hearing language in context will help a baby to begin to name the world.
MUSICAL
They use sound and a wide range of music to cue salient information as well as encourage active movement—providing both large and small motor exercise opportunities.
The Mozart effect has never been studied with young children. No amount of listening exclusively to Mozart or other classical music is going to increase a baby’s brain capacity. It is beautiful, and should be played for that reason alone! Babies respond to a wide range of music, especially the kind that makes them dance, is “choreographed” to what they are looking at or, simply suits their mood.
REAL
They present a world that is readily understood by young children and adults—one that is filled with the real objects, actions and interactions that intrigue and compel babies, from playing with blocks and balls to “creating” with pudding or water.
Watching swimming dolphins, flickering candles, and galloping horses, despite their beauty and ability to mesmerize, provides little to no opportunity for any meaningful learning. There is no context in these situations, and very little that a baby will recognize or be able to relate to his prior experiences or his knowledge about his world. Young children are very concrete and very ego-centric. ”Teachable moments” begin in the child’s world.
GENTLE
They move at a gentle pace and use research-proven techniques that help a baby to grasp the essence of each adventure.
Knowledge requires experience, focus, and sometimes a little guidance.
SIMPLE
They are visually designed to help the baby focus on the important actions and interactions they are observing.
The whole is bigger than the sum of its parts, but you need to see the parts to understand the whole.
PRACTICAL
They present games and activities using materials that are readily found around the home or in the child’s room and are organized as a collection of brief 10 minute “adventures”, providing parents with a convenient place to stop the video.
When Eebee’s adventures are over, the baby’s adventures continue.
From my point of view , Eebee’s adventures are just what I need to help my little one in her development , they are fun , his activities are real activities, so your baby can go ahead and do them as well!
Eebee’s adventures is one piece that you will not regret having in your collection.

Their motto is: a different approach for babies. And this really sums it up! You have to check out their site and their products to see what I mean! They present learning in a fun and interactive way for babies and toddlers!

According to the eebee baby website, “eebee’s adventures are designed to engage you and your baby with rich play experiences that provide powerful lessons that memorizing letters, numbers, colors and shapes simply can and do not. Watching and, importantly, “doing” eebee’s adventures will allow you and your baby to see and learn first-hand what happens when you explore a crinkly, crunchy, smooth and bumpy paper mountain or roll, bounce, bop, bang, slide and toss your way around a world of balls and ramps.”

Thanks to the kind folks at eebee baby, we recently received a set of 3 eebee’s adventures dvd’s and 2 eebee adventure bookshave a ball adventures and laundry time adventures.

Our son loved the DVD’s! (And usually he refuses to watch any kid’s programs except Barney, so this is saying a lot!) He was instantly drawn into the shows, and loved watching the babies and toddlers interact and explore various objects. I couldn’t believe how long he actually sat still and watched these programs. He laughed and smiled many times throughout the shows. And of course, like any toddler, he also enjoyed playing with the DVD cases. :)

My son really liked the books too. He absolutely LOVES balls, so his favorite book ishave a ball adventures.

The ball in this soft book is attached to a cord/string, so you can move the ball around the book. And our son loves moving the ball around the book, saying “ball” the whole time! The laundry time adventures book has a soft fuzzy blanket and lots of “laundry” throughout the book that you can play with. These books are wonderful interactive books. Also, just a quick note -because these books do have tiny cords/strings on them, be sure to closely supervise your kiddos closely so they don’t try to put the string around their neck, etc.

You can see a preview of the eebee’s adventures videos on their website here

Reflecting the day to day challenges and discoveries that define a toddler’s world, FIGURING THINGS OUT showcases what can happen when a child’s new found motor skills support her natural curiosity and interest in making things work and achieving goals.

Turning a light on and off, tracking a flashlight’s beam, and exploring the magic of playing with shadows are the focus of The Light Bulb Goes On adventure.

In Blocks and Tackling Ideas, creating (and crashing!) towers, laying rows, stacking cups and fitting different pieces together lead to a range physical, cognitive, social and creative skill building activities.exploring cover

And in On the Go, a mountain of pillows, and a room full of obstacles to get over, under, around and through set the scene for an adventure that celebrates the ups and downs, ins and outs of getting where and what you want.

In this series of adventures, EXPLORING REAL STUFF, eebee and playmates explore a range of materials and everyday objects with the simple and enticing goal of finding out what these things are like. “What do things feel like?” “What sounds do they make?” “How do they move?” “Are they heavy or light?” “What can I do to them?” These are just a few of the questions eebee and friends actively take on.

Brimming with Ideas sets the adventure among tubs of cereal and grains, adding bowls, scoops, and funnels to enrich the possibilities. In Out of the Box, a paper mountain and a cardboard box encourage infant “science,” “math,” and creative explorations. And different balls, tubes, ramps, blocks and even a tissue box lead eebee and babies to discoveries about rolling, slipping and sliding in On a Roll.

This week it was announced that Vivendi Entertainment had acquired domestic DVD, digital and mobile rights to Every Baby Company’s Eebee’s Adventures. An early favorite of Maia’s, we have already scooped up the various DVDs that Vivendi will now be distributing on a wider scale.

In the official press release Vivendi Entertainment President Tom O’Malley said, “We are excited to work with Every Baby Company to help bring Eebee’s Adventures to the mainstream.” So am I!

As a baby (6-24 months), this was the first DVD and property that resonated with Maia. She loved watching the kids interact with the eebee puppet and host. Watching the “regular” kids and parents explore and play with an assortment of toys and objects left her wide eyed in amazement. I also took away a few ideas for interacting with Maia, based on some of the activities in each DVD.

Eebee’s Adventures is a simple, earnest effort and I think that is why we were so willing to let it into our home. I truly recommend this property to parents of newborns and younger toddlers as these DVDs and toys come from a place that puts the child before the dollar.

Latina

Remember how Thalia’s character “Bella” used to talk to her dog Pulgoso on the brilliant 90’s telenovela Marimar? (Seriously, that was one of the highlights of that soap for me!). Well, as much as I hate to share this news (being a die-hard fan of that cuddly chatterbox dog), the Mexican pop singer has ditched Pulgoso for a new, non-canine partner—a multi-colored, kind of freaky looking puppet named Eebee.

Thalia has just signed on to appear in nine episodes of a new Spanish version of Eebee’s Adventures—a children’s show that helps toddlers learn to memorize letters, numbers and shapes through fun-filled learning activities. The episodes featuring Thalia as Eebee’s play partner will begin airing on V-me in September.

A singer, actress, author and very successful businesswoman (watch out J-Lo, Thalia is hawt right now!) these days Thalia’s top priority is her family. She has a new book out about pregnancy and being a mom called Thalia: ¡Radiante! Your Guide to a Fit and Fabulous Pregnancy and reportedly, the reason she got involved with Eebee’s Adventures in the first place is because she saw how much her daughter loved it. (She sounds like a great mother!). The Spanish-language version of Eebee will introduce the product to the Latin market via one of our biggest stars, which is a good thing (well, not for Pulgoso—I’m sure he’s devastated).
